Half Moon Bay's main street is the Bay Area's best kept secret for unique and interesting stores, epic restaurants, art galleries, tasting rooms and more.
If you want to visit the Santa Cruz and Capitola waterfront, I would start in Santa Cruz and walk along the coast to Half Moon Bay. The coastline of Half Moon Bay is home to a wealth of hiking spots, from lush redwood forests to rolling coastal slopes. The coastline encompasses the cities of Half Moon Bay, Miramar, Montara, Moss Beach, El Granada, San Gregorio, La Honda and Fishmonger. Seafood isn't much fresher than off the California coast, and Half Moon Bay has several places to try it.
